Set the scene.
The Discalced Carmelites began their convent in 1948 on land donated by Baron Pietro Paolo Testaferrata Moroni Viani.
Here’s the twist.
The church began to be used in 1958. It became a parish on 1 June 1969, then was consecrated on the same calendar date in 1989.
Why it still matters.
Two June anniversaries mark different stages, twenty years apart. Read them carefully: beginning worship, parish recognition and consecration are distinct events in the building’s life.
