OKAY, HERE’S THE STORY

Set the scene.

The palace grew around a central courtyard on Merchants Street. Its Parisio name came from the family who owned it in the late eighteenth century.

Here’s the twist.

After restoration, it opened as Malta’s General Post Office on 8 May 1886. A further storey was added after the First World War.

Why it still matters.

The Foreign Ministry moved here in October 1973. Imagine tracing a letter and a diplomatic document through the same address at different moments.
